Journal Indexing and Abstracting

The Journal of Integrated Education, Society, and Technology (JIEST) is continuously striving to expand its visibility, reach, and academic impact. To ensure that all published articles are highly discoverable, accessible, and citable by researchers, practitioners, and policymakers worldwide, the journal is systematically indexed and abstracted in major national and international databases.

1. National Indexing and Repositories (Indonesia)

To support the advancement of national research and comply with Indonesian scholarly standards, JIEST is indexed and integrated with the following key national platforms:

  • SINTA (Science and Technology Index): Managed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, evaluating the citation impact and quality of local journals.

  • GARUDA (Garba Rujukan Digital): A comprehensive national platform for scientific references managed by the Indonesian government.

  • Indonesia OneSearch (Perpustakaan Nasional RI): A single search portal for all public and academic digital collections across Indonesia.

  • ISJD (Indonesian Scientific Journal Database): Managed by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) for long-term metadata preservation.

2. International Indexing and Abstracting

To maximize global readership and facilitate cross-border academic collaboration, the journal’s metadata is crawled, indexed, and distributed across prominent international databases:

  • Google Scholar: Providing a comprehensive, worldwide search for scholarly literature, trackable citations, and author metrics.

  • Crossref: As an official Crossref member, JIEST assigns a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to every published article, ensuring permanent linking and reliable citation tracking.

  • Dimensions: A modern, linked-research data platform that tracks citations and academic engagement globally.

  • Base (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine): One of the world's most voluminous search engines for open-access academic web resources.

  • Road (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources): Providing holistic tracking for open-access ISSN metadata.

3. Metadata Harvesting and OAI-PMH

As an Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, JIEST supports the OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) standard. This allows international indexing engines, university libraries, and global repositories to automatically and seamlessly harvest our article metadata, drastically increasing the citation potential and long-term search engine optimization (SEO) of our authors' work.

4. Indexing Roadmap

The editorial board of JIEST is firmly committed to continuous quality improvement. The journal is actively preparing its workflow, metadata structure, and publication consistency to meet the rigorous evaluation criteria for inclusion in prestigious international databases, including DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), Copernicus, and eventually, Scopus and the Web of Science (WoS).
