Scope, Audience, & Subscriptions
The JIEST is a peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to the dissemination of empirical research, theoretical studies, action research, community-based scholarship, and integrative reviews focusing on the relationship between education, society, and technology.
JIEST adheres to strict peer-review procedures throughout a rigorous manuscript review process. The journal publishes data-based qualitative and quantitative studies, mixed-methods research, action research, research syntheses, integrative reviews, theoretical papers, policy studies, and interpretations of research literature related to integrated education, social development, digital transformation, technology-enhanced learning, community engagement, and related interdisciplinary fields.
The readership of JIEST includes educators, researchers, lecturers, practitioners, policymakers, students, community leaders, educational institutions, foundations, agencies, schools, universities, and research centers in national and international contexts.
Editorial & Review Board/Management
The JIEST is managed by an editorial team consisting of an Editor-in-Chief, editors, associate editors, reviewers, and production staff. The Editorial and Review Board consists of scholars, researchers, and practitioners with expertise in education, society, technology, research methodologies, academic publishing, and rigorous manuscript review standards.
Guest editors may be appointed by the Editorial and Review Board in cooperation with the Editor-in-Chief to manage special issues, themed editions, or author submissions that may create a potential conflict of interest.
